So today with the preschoolers, we made handprint angels. At the end of the morning, when the parents were picking up the wee ones, it was discovered that my friend Luke had no halo on his celestial being. I, being the amazing teacher that I am, told him no worries we would fix up his picture posthaste, he just had to wait a moment. One of the other teachers took the picture and while she was gone doing the repair work, I sang this song to him.
Either I’m the coolest preschool teacher in the world, or soon we won’t have any students. It’s a toss up.
“That’s me, that’s me/The boy with the broken halo/That’s me, that’s me/The devil won’t let me be”
